Many fanpages and blogs about Vietnamese-born Kpop star Hanni (NewJeans group) in Vietnam announced to stop working and lock/delete accounts.

As of the afternoon of 7.2, many fanpages and blogs under the name of Hanni in Vietnam simultaneously updated their shutdown status. The online community also discovered that many fan pages of this female idol in Vietnam disappeared or changed their name. Some fanpages are still visible but without any new information sharing or updating.
In particular, some fanpages about the remaining four members of NewJeans in Vietnam announced limited updates on Hanni. Fan pages about Kpop, Korean stars in Vietnam also made similar announcements. Even some Kpop star fanpages claim to put Hanni on the "black list". Currently, netizens as well as Vietnamese fans are still waiting for the response of Hanni and the management company about the series of scandals in the past few days.

Earlier, on the evening of February 6, the keyword "Hanni" was searched for skyrocketing on Google Vietnam, at one point peaking at 100 (the highest search value for a phrase). According to Google statistics, there were more than 20,000 searches for Hanni's name on February 6, leading the daily trend. The group in which she is active - NewJeans also ranked 3rd in the chart with more than 10,000 searches.
Hanni (full name Hanni Pham, Pham Ngoc Han) was born in 2004. Hanni has a father from Hanoi and a mother from Ho Chi Minh City, who lived in Australia before coming to Korea. She can speak Korean, Vietnamese and English. In 2019, at the age of 15, Hanni became a trainee of Ador (Hybe's subsidiary). In August 2022, Hanni officially debuted in the entertainment industry as one of the 5 members of the girl group NewJeans.

Hanni is a controversial topic on Vietnamese social networks
In NewJeans, Hanni takes on the role of the lead dancer and vocalist. She used to appear in BTS's Permission to Dance MV. The beauty is also the first Vietnamese female idol of Hybe Labels.
In the fashion segment, Hanni was unexpectedly chosen as the new brand ambassador of Gucci in October last year. This sparked controversy because many netizens thought that the young girl was not suitable for Gucci's outfit style. Others mocked this Vietnamese-born Kpop star being "carried" by the company too much.
