The US $20 bill features a guy named Andrew Jackson.
Most people don't really know him - what did he do to justify his presence in the arguably most used bill in USA.
In early 1815, Jackson defeated a British force led by a chap named Pakenham at New Orleans. Britain wanted to control the access of the entrance to the Mississippi at NOLA, and Jackson defeated such attempt.
Pakenham was killed in the battle. He also happened to be a brother-in-law of a figure named Arthur Wellesley.
Pakenham fought along with Wellington in Spain, but as Napoleon had been locked up at Elba and the situation in Spain subsiding, Pakenham was sent to USA to teach the Americans a lesson but was killed.
At that time Wellington was in Vienna , wasting time at the never-ending Congress of Vienna.
Around that time UK and USA agreed to a peace deal so UK was no longer at war with USA, but if the deal had been delayed a bit longer, Wellington would probably offered to go to North America to avenge the death of his brother-in-law instead of wasting time at Vienna, a wish which would have been granted.
And Paris would probably have Emperor Napoleon IX or X receiving BlackPink at the Tuilleries now .

IU has accepted the offer to act in the drama written by the author of "Camellia".
After not deciding for months.
If she had made up her mind the filming would have started after she returned from her Gucci fashion show and would have been finished by autumn, giving the time for her to have a new album and probably a concert in around Oct-Nov.
And she would not have the time to travel to Japan with an actor.
Some say it is because Park Bogum's contracts, but whatever. She could have chosen someone else as her acting partner. She has the power to do so.
Worse, the drama will be filmed in Cheju island, away from Seoul.
Which means she will be away from the IU team and no music will be made.
Which means she doesn't get to fight NewJeans, her greatest rival, until the 2nd half of 2024 at the earliest.
It would be like Wellington going to USA just before Napoleon organized his comeback concert. Instead of coming back to crush Nap's comeback concert, Wellington would be just watching it from afar as Nap polishes off the Prussians and exacts a deal with Russia and Austria who are not hot fighting again after all of this.
With IU running away from NewJeans, NJ's domination of KPop is now complete.
It seems Lee Jieun calculated the pros and cons of fighting NewJeans and judged she stood no chance against Min Heejin's act and if Lee Jieun were defeated she would be thrown into the dustbin of history, so she probably decided to run and defend her niche, increasingly threatened by the increasing irrelevance of Melon and the rise of Spotify, and not challenge the throne again.
She basically abandoned all acts not named New Jeans, who had hoped she would subdue NJ, just like she did to everyone else, but she chose to run. That is probably the end of her domination of KPop after 13 years and a confirmation of NJ's takeover of KPop, which is why I changed my photos to these of NJ for now.
With the last obstacle before BTS gone, NJ will probably battle what is remaining of BTS, with Bang's blessing.
