I feel like if I like beat and the tone of voice then I’ll probably like the music
When I dislike some songs it mostly has to do with vibes and beat of a song I think

Yeah, I agree with to extent too sometimes the concept could feel too much or too little

For me its the first impression
Let's say you show me an artist I never listened to before, maybe you give me 3 MVs, I need to listen to the first few seconds of these songs to see if I could like them or not. If I think by the first let's say 40 seconds that the songs arn't for me than I most likly don't listen to other songs of the artist.
But there are rare ocasions where it might change. I mean let's say there is an artist with 12 songs. I checked out 3 of the songs before and don't like them so I don't go any further into checking the artist out, but than I hear one of the songs that I don't know in a video and might like it to a level where I look it up and than maybe see that the other songs of the artist arn't that bad.
It all depends on how the songs vibe with my ears I guess
I have a preference for certain genres and influences
Darker, emotional, or more dramatic concepts and sounds draw me in more than cute upbeat stuff.
I prefer lower voices to higher ones
I tend to dislike the way obvious vocal processing sounds
Songs with good harmonies will have a better chance with me.
I don't normally like let's all shout sing together but not harmonize type choruses.
Songs that repeat a certain word in the lyrics a ton will annoy me

Yeah same I think, tbh there are lot of idols that I just don’t check out cause there was a few songs I didn’t like
I'm either into a group's music or I'm not. Simple as that. Some groups just don't appeal to me no matter what the song.
Do u still check out the song if u don’t like the group? Or u know u might not end up liking ?
