Hello! It has officially been one year since I joined here! Well, technically it’s been a few hours more than that, but basically a year. Yes, I know my account says it was created a year and a month ago in late November. That’s technically true, but I did absolutely nothing with it until December 23rd last year, so close enough. No reactions, no posts, no threads, not even any aesthetics. So, despite my profile saying it was created in late November, I don’t consider that when I actually joined here if that makes any sense.
I still remember my very first few posts on here, and talking to Pikachu-Senpai . One of the first threads I ever saw was a thread where she was passing out akorns to people who said what their Christmas wish was. I figured it was easy enough, and at the time, I was so new that I didn’t even know how to get akorns, so I figured I might as well. I said my wish was for everyone to be happy and healthy, or something along those lines. She gave me 100 akorns. I was only expecting two or three, so I was blown away by her kindness. She also told me if I needed any help on here, to let her know. I did end up getting her help later that day to learn how to check and send DM’s. It was also in the same akorn giveaway thread because I was so new that I didn’t know where else to find her. I felt bad at the time derailing the thread, but she didn’t mind in the slightest. It made my whole day, and I’ll never forget that day.
Since then, so much has happened: I now have a ton of badges I love, have petitioned for some groups I love to get badges, learned how to make badges (and I’m still making them), joined or became an honorary member of countless guilds and loved all of them I am a part of, made so many friends, passed 40,000 posts (in only a year! I have a problem) and so much more. There have been times where I cried on here, and times when I felt like the happiest person alive, so this place has been quite a roller coaster for me, but it also helped shape me into who I am today, and I wouldn’t change it for the world because of that. In some ways, I haven’t changed at all and in other ways, I couldn’t possibly be more different. Am I perfect? No, but I am me, and that’s the best I can ask for.
Thank you for everyone who touched my journey on here in any way, who was my friend for any period of time, or who even was active here. You are all amazing people, and never forget that. I have sadly missed so many people on here who are gone for one reason or another, and they’ll always hold a special place in my heart, no matter what, but I’ll cherish all of my current friends on here before they go too. They’re all some of the best people on here. Thank you for being my friends, and I can’t wait to keep being friends with all of you. Sorry this is so general, but I’ll make some more specific threads later. I just wanted to announce my one year anniversary on here, and take the time to thank everyone for being so awesome.
