Chinese beauty standards is another rabbit hole and if you studied history, some has changed through history and some has NOT. Unfortunately, if you happen to have Chinese relatives and if you are a girl, you get exposed to these beauty standards at a very young age. I still remember all my Chinese relatives hating my curly hair because it was against the silky, smooth black hair ideal....ditto re the honey skin vs snow white. Or how many time they told my sister to loose weight when she can't (due to her thyroid condition etc.)
Ironic that so many of my cousins got plastic surgery and are still NOT statisfied with their looks and ouch the up-keep and pain...etc.
Are these photosphed cause all those girls legs look unnaturally long
I think its very much a peer pressure / beauty standard thing.
