Rumoured Kingdom stages for the Round 2

  • Haha really? I would never know, you seem pretty chill :D

That's bcoz I have been a kpop fan for like 8+ years now ^^

Back then I almost used to be an anti of iKON. I didn't get along with their fandom bcoz I was an Inner Circle and a hardcore Cassie, and bcoz of the light stick color issue Cassies and iKONICS had a beef.

My feelings for iKON changed when I watched Junhoe on a show, it was about some celebrities living together for a week or something I forgot the name, then I checked their other videos and started to like them. I feel bad now though but you always learn from your past mistakes, I did too. :pepe-toast:

  • Haha interesting! That's probably because you were young and judgemental, so you judged a group based on a couple of bad fans... That's still happening all the time.

No need to feel bad about it, it's nice that you outgrown such feelings and learned from that!

That's why i always say, that it's nice to talk with some fans that like the same groups as you, since they can understand many things, but fandom consists of so many different people, it's not really some kind of unity (i don't want to claim any similarity with some people that are from the same fandoms as me, i am responsible only for myself and my words, not some random person from another part of the world)

Yup, young and immature, these new immature kpop fans will learn with time as well how immature they are but yeah, it sucks for the idols who get targeted with endless hate.

While I didn't like iKON that time, I never wrote any hateful tweet about them, but my words were harsh towards their fandom.

  • Well that's the most important, that you don't target the group you know nothing about if you dislike their fans. Like you said, once you got to know more about them, you saw that the group is in fact great hehe

Also hate (especially because of kpop) is such a bad waste of time :D Like we don't have enough other worries in our lives haha

Twitter drama is never ending, my biggest mistake was to follow all kpop fans regardless of their fandoms, that's why I was surrounded by both ugly and good fans and it influenced me.

Yup, life gives us enough worries but kpop fans don't mind adding more :smirks2:

  • I love Bling Bling, cause I love almost every iKON's title track, but I'd love more Killing Me :pepecry:

Anyway, they will kill it, I'm sure. They are ateez, after all

I like Bling Bling more than Killing Me but agree that Ateez would fit Killing Me better. Think Ateez could do really cool stuff with killing me since itโ€™s one of the few ikon songs that allow heavy dancing during the chorus and it would be interesting to see them work with the more somber lyrics. Bling Bling also have one of iKons more powerful choreographies so I can see why they choose it but I feel like itโ€™s easier to go overboard with that one.

  • Idk Think all of the song choices could turn out great but also end up a disappointment. It depends on the execution and while all of them are good performance groups itโ€™s easy to mess up a cover.

    My pre-thoughts:

    Btob - Reveal

Iโ€™m not a big fan of tbzโ€™s music, itโ€™s just preference but that obviously makes me less excited for this stage. Btob could turn it into a beautiful performance but it really depends on the rearrangement. I suspect theyโ€™ll slow it down and make it more vocal heavy but I donโ€™t think theyโ€™ll go full on ballad. Will they make me like the song or will I find it boring, thatโ€™s where Iโ€™m at.

    iKon - Answer

So here itโ€™s the chorus Iโ€™m worried about. I can see iKon pull of the verses masterly but the chorus isnโ€™t really their type. It demands some powerful dancing and iKon are better with more relaxed choreographies. And while they arenโ€™t bad dancers they arenโ€™t as good as Atz so the performance could loose impact by comparison. Iโ€™m hoping for a nice rearrangement but Iโ€™m not sure it will be easy to change that part. Iโ€™m also hoping the song choice isnโ€™t a sign ikon will focus on dance during the competition. I canโ€™t do another RTK. I need variety and since ikon is one of the least dance focused groups I was counting on them.

    SF9 - Miroh

This was a surprising song choice. Iโ€™m having a hard time picturing SF9 performing Miroh but who knows, maybe they have something up their sleeve.

The Boyz - Now or Never

Okay this one I really like. Now or Never is one of my favourite sf9 songs and tbz are made for sexy concepts (disappointed they havenโ€™t done more). No complaints!

Stray Kids - Iโ€™ll be your man

On this one Iโ€™m split. It could be amazing. So amazing. But this song demands vocals that Skz donโ€™t have. The rap parts will be fire and the song suits them while still being different enough from what they usually do to feel fresh but Iโ€™m worried about Skz vocal-line. Iโ€™m not feeling a performance with screechy high notes that lack power.

    Ateez - Bling Bling

Could be good. Could be fun. Ateez have the potential to pull this off and they fit the hiphop concept. It could also end up being overly aggressive and cringey. The cringe kinda comes with the song, you canโ€™t remove it completely, the Bling Bling part alone..., but you can make it fun and laidback. Iโ€™m afraid Atz will go the opposite route and try to make it epic or badass or something.

I think Seungmin and Han could it.

Especially Seungmin, his vocals have improved so much over the last few months.

For example 1:42 on this track and towards the end:

I think Han could also manage some parts:

  • Maybe Iโ€™m underestimating them, Seungmin do have a nice voice, but thereโ€™s a lot of parts in that song that demands a better vocalist and Seungmin even with the support of Han and Chan would be stretching it thin. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Yeah, all we can do is hope for the best! They'll definitely kill the rap parts and for that I'm certain.
