Why did MAMA Award did not award other Asian countries this year?

What happend? Why did they not award any Asian country this year?

Last year there was "Best New Asian Artist" and "Best Asian Artist" aswell as a version of these two for a lot of the other Asian countries and this year there was only 1 cathegory for Asian artists as "Favourite Asian Artist" wich went literally to one of Mnet's Japanese groups again ...

If so, than they shouldn't have 3 Japanese groups perform and don't even should've awarded 1 Japanese artist and shouldn't held the award in Japan 😡
