Could YG lose the spot in Big3 and another one takes over it's place?

Being realistic, the only company that could replace YG as of right now, is HYBE.

Starship doesn't have a star studded lineup. They have IVE and that's it, and even they are overrated in MY opinion. Monsta X, I mean they haven't made no noise tbh, and Cravity nugu, so...yeah just IVE.

HYBE already have successful artists and businesses to back up being in the Big 3.

I mean their STAR lineup for music is crazy on its own:

    BTS

    ZICO

    NEWJEANS

    SEVENTEEN

    LE SSERAFIM

    TXT

    ENHYPEN

    FROMIS_9

    TRAINEE A

    &TEAM

    LEE HYUN

    BAEKHO

    MINHYUN

    NANA

    ~ plus more to come...

But just like others have said, I wouldn't wanna put HYBE in the big 3 name anyway...they are waaaayyyy bigger on their own than that. Just the name HYBE in its self already will give you success and fortune and they have the legendary BTS, which just them alone will put HYBE on top lol.

But yeah I wouldn't wanna associate HYBE with the big 3 term, BUT they most definitely can replace YG if they wanted to

  • you dont get it like i do

  • hybe is crazy, having most popular;

kpop group, male soloist, rocky ggs.. They wont have a problem for sure.

  • No, YG already survived the worst scandal/s? And it's still going strong.

Also, Hybe will never replace yg since it's way bigger than big 3.

  • Is it 2019? This already happened years ago.

  • Hybe and sm are making more revenue than yg. Not sure about jyp but if they are, yg is already out of top 3

  • we had this type of discussion with jyp right at twice's debut because their popularity and financial situation seems stagnant. and after they skyrocketed with continuous hist, suddenly jyp becoming part of big3 again even when their revenue was nowhere close to the other two (up until yg-lvmh financial disaster). but on the other hand, we have kakao m, cjenm, and hybe, which had bigger revenue as corporates (not as individual labels) but has weaker media presence/ branding than some of their acts (bts>hybe, iu>kakao m, cjenm soloists)

i think being out or in the big 3 is not just merely about your current groups situation and financial comparison. there are history and public expectations playing here.

  • If BP renews and new gg blows up I think they'll be alright. Yge isn't a new company, they've experience and gp loves them.
