Absolutely, and this is one of them. That monster deserves nothing less.

I honestly try not to think that way..but i have a lot of hatred for r*pists and especially ped*philes..they deserve the worst

I mean, in cases that are really violent and the criminals are horrid, I'm not really against it, but...

My problem with capital punishment is more about how it's applied in the system it's in.

Corruption... rich people likely to get out of it compared to poorer folks... sentencing the wrong people... I don't like any of it, and when you throw capital punishment into that... mistakes will be made.

So it's not so much about when or who you apply on to me, I'm concerned about the systems surrounding it.

But in a vacuum... an ideal world where corruption and a perfect clean system could exist... on cases like this, I wouldn't be against it.

Though, as the world is now... I don't believe everyone can be rehabilitated. Scum like this are too far gone and should be locked away from the world... away from where they can harm people for life. And I hope they rot...

Not anymore. I don't know what it's like in other countries, but in the United States, the way capital punishment is delivered is basically torturing a person to death. And it costs our system a lot more money than just keeping someone in prison until they naturally die.

I agree that some people have committed acts so vile that they cannot reasonably be part of society anymore, but I don't agree with torturing anyone. Life in prison accomplishes both of those objectives: segregating bad people from everyone else without making us engage in cruelty to do so.

No. No one has the right to take another persons life. The law has absolutely no business deciding if someone lives or dies. Treating people as erasable if they cause too much trouble is twisted on such a basic level

My heart goes out to that three year old. That story is beyond sick. But no, killing her as punishment isn’t a solution. It’s just vile and we don’t need more of that

to me the best punishment is to have these monsters sit and suffer for the rest of their life. death penalty is too quick and easy of a solution. some just get an injection and "go to sleep". no, imo that is letting them go the easy way.

but indeed some people just don't deserve to live anymore. and prison is a lifestyle that criminals can get used to and therefore not "suffer" for the crimes they commit. it's a complicated issue.

each situation must be determined in accordance with the merits and heinousness of the crime itself

there aren't and shouldn't be fixed criteria to determine what meets the level of a crime punishable by CP

you can't set a limit like 4 kills = CP but 3 is life without parole (as an example)

personally I would leave it to the jury to decide if CP is appropriate

no, I don't support capital punishment in any case. Execution is too quick and easy, and the criminals don't suffer enough. I think life sentences are a much better punishment.
