Is it bcoz of that ad thing? He apologized, people should let it go but he's one of the fav punching bags of kpop stans so they won't let him get away with this easily
Nah but everyone calling him stupid and using the r slur on him for making that mistake reminded me of how I feel about people calling him dumb and ignorant
this feels super weird that he made mistake and he apologized yet people need to still defend him in such way
damn people in Korea lol
Oh no, I was just speaking in general because ifans always call him stupid and a himbo and always comment how he knows nothing. You're telling me you're surprised that someone who had to give up high school as a child to work not knowing some things is surprising (not speaking to you, but to those people)? It feels, idk. Classist? I'm lacking a word.

Actually after debuting and getting a better economical situation Daniel took the exam allowing him to get his high school degree and then started attending college (currently taking his master). So no, he actually isnt ignorant or uneducated. He is just a human and makes mistakes that people always blow out of proportion.

His haters have been trying to prove he's "unqualified" to host these shows since Street Woman Fighter. People were using the same "what do idols know about street dance?" argument on him and when his fans pulled up receipts of him being a well known street dancers before he debuted they had to pivot to his MC abilities.

His story is very common here in Korea there's a lot of people who are struggling and kpop is often the ticket out of it it's one of the main reasons the idol industry has sooo many applicants and how so many get away with abuse =omega x as an example. Plus some of these kids come from broken homes or lonely existences as a only child and very little family contact= parents working 9 9 6.
It's one of the reasons you see some of those idols build strong bonds with their group members because to them that is family , some of their only happiness is being at the company or the dorm. All of this is one reason why I truly despise people who get scorned be it in a relationship or other situation and instead of handling the situation privately theyd rather be petty and ruin them publicly knowing what the consequences are. They are often the people saying i didn't mean it once xyz has jumped in the han river. Some of these kids that tiny bit of happiness of having a family or a chance to get out of poverty is the only thread keeping them from suicide. They know this yet still do it anyway then want to act surprised when the person they outted actually pulled the trigger. Like 🤡🤡🤡 they had nothing left to lose what' else you think was gonna happen? Especially with how idol training is they devote soo much time to it that they rarely have time to get in a school and are often raised by their agency and only interact with a closed community of people, idols are often socially stunted and academically as well, so getting one kicked out of the industry is mostly a game over as they have zero skills to get a regular job. A 21 yr old having to learn life until 30 before getting a job= highschool and later college before employment is to most too late 🔫

I hope his mom proud of him

Most idols drop out and get their GED. Some famously, for example some members of TREASURE, go to SOPA. But it's a performing arts school. So it's like a school to prepare for a career in the entertainment industry. It's not like they have future engineers, doctors and mathematicians there.
GEDs are the most practical, because they have full on careers that take up most of their days.
I see nothing wrong with getting a GED or going to an art school. But for some in society, particularly the professional class, it carries a negative connotation.

He's the last person they should've criticized about working on that show because he's a legit bboy and was a street dancer himself.
