Yea, I admit to not being very familiar with Japanese TV! LOL I guess it makes sense that they subtitle the ones they feel are most important to viewers to highlight them and make sure their words understood properly. America is allergic to subtitles, so it's probably my own bias!

problem with the gym is that almost all the idols won't have time using it except maybe Baeko. Nuest doesn't seem to be busy these days.
They have plenty of time lol. Being fit and exercise is a very important of being an idol and not just for looks, primarily for the job, the cardio and endurance and core strength needed to do many of the complex stunts in the choreography plus the endurance needed to dance and sing for significant lengths of time.
Gym is basically part of their schedules, it's one of the reasons hybe invested in such a massive modern gym , it would have been a waste of money if the idols or the general staff didn't use it

The idols or ones that have a full schedule already do enough cardio with performances, etc. likely the staff are mostly the ones who use it the most.

In Japan, there are so many local dialects of Japanese - I think over 40+ - and they sound very different hence the need for subtitles in Japanese. I lived in Tohoku so it’s very different than Tokyo (standard Japanese) vs Osaka vs Okinawa etc. It is due to all the mountains and how it geographically isolated communities in the past etc.
