Performing at special events like festivals, shop openings, small concerts etc are ways you get quick booking or ticket fees that can be quick up front money that wouldn’t need much investment.

For ggs having a popular member stand out (usually for looks) can really help not only get teh individuall members name out but also help the group in a package deal.

There has to be a way that they earn money for companies, that is why so many debut every year.

But for the members, that is a different story.

Being credited on the songs

They do festivals, ads, promo, acting, and other things. There are a lot more opportunities than we see because we don't live in Korea so we don't see __________ perform at a Spring Festival in Yeosu or in many cases know that it even happened. Also, K-Pop companies aren't cheap to run and its a lot of money required to enter the industry as a new company, so most of the CEOs of smaller companies are already wealthy and have a large pool of money to cover the difference in profit for the first couple of years until they make a profit.
