Testing Weverse Album Audio Quality

    I didn't really care for this platform at all at the beginning and this thread is not about defending BH/HYBE and what they did or didn't do. It's just about audio quality.


    I purchased J-Hope's Jack in The Box (JITB) albums so I decided since I have it -- I should give it a try just out of curiosity. I was so pleasantly suprised by the amazing sound quality. JITB sounded the best on this platform over my iTunes and Apple Music.


    A few days ago, I randomly found Newjean's Weverse album for sale at a local KPOP shop and it was super affordable (no crazy Weverse shipping fees). So I purchased it to test audio quality to see if it's also the same as Hobi's JITB and support the girls since I did love Hype Boy and Attention. The audio quality is holds up and it's better than the album on Apple Music and iTunes again.


    I will test it again with Le Sserafim's Antifragile WA but it won't come until next month since I ordered it from this local store and they bulk order and have to clear customs.


    I wonder if anyone else on here tried a Weverse Album and have you compared the audio quality? Your thoughts?

    That's true. I didn't download the app out of spite before but few days ago saw people talking about this. So I finally checked it and indeed the quality is the best. The vocals are so much clearer in the Weverse Album app

    I got my Le Sserafim Antifragile Weverse Album today and just tested it out and yes....the audio quality is superior. All the tracks sound their best but in full HD -- The Hydra, Impurities, and No Celestial sounds amazing -- hear all the layers and everything.


    Compared to the New Jeans Weverse Album packaging, Antigragile's is super super basic but I love the metallic gold foil for the kintsugi design. It came with 3 photo cards - I pulled 1 Yunjin and 2 Kazuha. In the digital album on the Weverse Album app, you get a gazillion more digital photos of all the members too.


    The New Jeans album - gave you two photo cards for each member and a group photo with the QR code. The package is a thicker cardboard. Ditto re more digital photos of the members and group.


    I'll load photos in a bit. Also I check Hobi's JITB Weverse album and a new content was upload - a 1 min video of Hobi talking about the album and a message to fans.

    In all the app feels incomplete and needs more upgrades to feel like a competitor to other apps

    Yeah, it's more like beta version at this point.


    If they improve it but not decrease the sound quality it can be really good app. For now, it's not ''there'' yet.
