My problem is hoards of kpop fans complaining about idols who dont focus on music and they dont even bother to check those who do focus on music like Hyolyn,

I didnt vibe with her recent EP but these ones are absolute bangers for me

I did and to be brutally honest I had forgotten them a day after, not that they were bad but they were to me quite forgettable, but I don't have connection with the artist like fans of her do that would maybe help in the regard.

So this is just me jumping on a pet peeve of mine, I just don't like when people say they "deserve more" I'm a DC fan, I'm used to fighting every comeback to get what others would (with what I consider not as good music) get more attention then my girls but I would never say they "deserve" shit.. because noone deserves anything (music wise / Wendy deserves a much bigger apology for nearly dying for example) everyone has to work just as hard as others to "make it" from the mid tier and lower and some get lucky and some are destined to stay where they are.

I appreciate her talent and hardwork, and I absolutely love her works in Sistar

but her solo music is just not for me. But she deserves more tho

And so how do you explain to us that NMIXX sell hundreds of thousands of albums when no one knew the name of the group and had never heard a single one of their songs? Or how did you explain that Rollin suddenly becomes the song of the year when it has remained unknown for years ?

Everything is not so easy, you are enormously underestimated or do not understand how distribution channels work and their fundamental usefulness for artists and in their success.

When i go to spotify or youtube music in the songs recommended to me i've always Newjeans, NMIXX & IVE even if I indicate that I do not like these songs they continue to be recommended to me. It's not the result of chance, their company litteraly paid to be recommended more frequently and included in many playlists.

With the advent of the era of social networks and the internet, we had access to culture and art much more simply, but paradoxically it's actually quite the opposite, the field of art and culture have become huge icebergs whose visible and easily accessible face is totally controlled by the companies with the most power, artists who don't have this support are just made invisible.
