Refer to my post with the picture about my CPU for more details.
Could try getting a ethernet cable and using a wired connection is possible. Or use that as a test at least, if you have good speeds then your laptop has a a problem with the wireless chip. Either is you might need to download driver updates for it or Windows updates and see if that works or face the music and your chip is simply weak.
If you really need WiFi either get a wifi extender (boosts WiFi signal strength if your house is big or has really thick walls) and see if that helps or shell out for a new laptop.
same here but I think it is because of hostel's wifi connection because my laptop works fine at home
my mom has HP laptop with exact same processor as yours, and also has 8GB of RAM, and also has HDD...
your easiest way to upgrade your current laptop would be changing HDD to SDD, it can make wonders to pc/laptop,
even looking at your screenshot it says that HDD is working 100% which make it probably feel like your whole laptop is laggy and bugged.
SSD would give you that snappy experience and comfy work
on the other hand if you prefer something new then pretty sure you will find one with 256 or 512 GB SSD, 16GB RAM, WiFi 6, reasonable priced

What's a good gaming laptop?
What's a good gaming laptop?
well that depends what you want to play
if you want to play things like e-sport titles: CS GO, League of Legends, DOTA 2, then you don't need a "bastard" of a machine, laptop with GTX 1650 will be more than enough
but take a note about prices because sometimes there is very small difference and it's better to just add a bit more money and buy laptop to play more demanding titles, then buy one with RTX 3050 Ti should be capable, it has all those modern features like DLSS, etc.
ps: there are also laptops with RTX 3050 which is much more powerful than GTX 1650, but about 16-18% less powerful than RTX 3050 Ti
if you have some preferred shop then give me a link and I will find you one worth the money
