Are you a bad person if you listen to kpop but dont care about Koreans?

i'm interested in the music some idols and groups...not the entire country

just like if i listen to us pop i dont have to care for all americans...

Personally to me I think that if you love kpop for the music or whatever you should at least care about what happens in Korea because it affects your idols. Not saying that you need to learn korean or whatever but at least keep up with whats happening in korea. But hey whatever you want to do is your right.

No but my interest in Korea as a country happened long before my introduction to K pop. My father served in the Korean War and I learned a lot from his stories there. I have also researched a lot into their history and spoken to a few Korean people online. I’m not so interested in the everyday life or customs but have looked it up.

I am contributing to Korea when I am buying/ listening to their idols songs. I don’t know if that counts caring about Koreans.

Both Chinese and Korean people have been in my life since early childhood (as have Japanese). I'm going to listen to what both sides have to say. I'm not just going to take South Korea's side just because I listen to kpop.
