Bae and JYP artists in general still use the half air - half voice technique when singing.
It's called the mixed voice.
Half falsetto - half chest voice. It's very good for sustain and easy on the vocal nodes.
SM? They just go full chest voice and belt the shit out of it.
Sounds rounder, harder to do and murder on the vocal nodes.
