I have an account since early 2017. I had just gotten into K-pop months before and wanted to see how a community of K-pop stans worked.
I've always liked forums since I was a teenager more than other social media, but I was used to pop forums and they barely had K-pop content.
I had a hard time trying to adapt myself. Specially because I had to talk in english the whole time. Then I abandoned the account for almost 2 years.
Late 2018, I came back to the forums and the process of adaptation was much better. But back that time, the forum was too obsessed about BLACKPINK and Jennie. 9 of 10 threads were dragging them and It was very toxic to get used to it. So I dropped the forum again in early 2019.
I came back in mid 2020, because I was too hyped about HYLT comeback and I was getting into Stray Kids and wanted to talk to more people about my recent obsessions. So I ended up staying this time since I finally made friends on the forum and participated of a Guild.

I spend too much time here although I barely interact in the forums and I find to have less and less topics to talk about with other users. Also some of the people I got close to have left the forums so it is less fun.

i started using akp in february of 2021. i just interact with a lot of people i guess.

i think one thing to help lessen your time, would be spend more time elsewhere with the people you like from here. like after having another place to talk to my friends, taking breaks from here when i needed it, became a lot easier.
