So Music Shows probably will be cancelled during World Cup?

SM postponing aespa comeback actually made me remember that usually during World Cup or Olympics music shows are cancelled, some had one month break.

Even jf you look at MAMA date it's two weeks earlier than last year. What's super interesting is that both Korea and Japan national teams don't play games on days when MAMA will be hold. So it was smart move by CJ ENM.

Makes sense. The US national team sucks, so most people I know don't watch unless they play soccer or come from a country where soccer is a big deal.

I forget that soccer is huge in SK.

Most TV around the world is rescheduled to fit the world cup so it makes sense for some less important shows to be cancelled in the meantime.

It's not so much overlap, but the world cup with dominate the news plus most major networks will cancel all of their programming to either broadcast games or talk about it.
