Acording to someone I met on Discord nobody is a real rapper, especially not idols because apparently to be able to be a real rapper you need to be on a level where you are in a position where you can battle-rap against other rapper or else thats just not "authentic" rap

Hmm. This sounds like someone who doesn't know a lot about rap. That's a really specific skill set and genre within rap. There are many successful rappers in the Western market who would get their ass kicked if they had to actually battle with someone. Similarly, some people who can spit fire bars in a battle aren't great on structured songs. In fact, it's kind of a running commentary that many battle rappers can't make good songs.
Lets gatekeep singing also, none of them can hit opera levels of singing when it comes to control or pitch so none of them are singers now also..
Gatekeeping is one of the worst traits of every fandom (in and outside of kpop), making arbitrary rules to fit the individuals narrative of what they see fit and telling others like it is 'fact'

Imo as long as you write your own raps, you are a real rapper no matter how bad your skills are. A good rapper on the otherhand is someone who is good at rap. Not many idols qualify as a real rapper and that’s true. But there are some who are actual rappers because they do write and rap their own shit.
As for the good rappers in idol music, there are just a few of them. Fortunately my faves do decently when it comes to the rap game so I don’t get embarrassed when I recommend tracks

I listen to both rap and battle and they are 2 totally different disciplines.
I know a lot of rappers that would suck in battle rap and vice-versa.
Of course there are rappers who can do both but it's not a condition.
