Blackpink can't even outchart a 2week old rookie group but everyone is justifying that and saying it doesn't mean anything because they have the sales. Why is aespa attacked for charting lower than IVE then and pretending NJ and ive ended them when these groups can't even reach their sales?? Why is there a double standard for them and BLACKPINK?

Allkpop hate MYs. It got really bad after Coachella and when aespa promoted in the west (I personally see nothing wrong with MYs hyping up their performances, all fans do that and don’t get as much flak as them) and then they take their hate out on aespa. Just take a look at the Coachella thread, so many fake concerns. I also see nothing wrong with SM mediaplaying aespa as the first gg to perform on the main stage. All big kpop companies mediaplay and it’s true, they are the first gg to perform on the main stage, they didn’t lie.

damn i thought you were a troll but I guess you really just to love to set up your own faves. pink venom is about to re-peak on Melon with over 470K uls while BP has not had any promotions in SK in over 2 years and attention is going viral. they narrowed the gap by 20K between today and yesterday with nothing, not even a dance practice. if they keep current momentum, pv is going to repeak at #1 on Melon after VMAs and Inkigayo this weekend. even if they don't, bp and blinks are not going to lose sleep over it and have been saying this since before the comeback, as sk charts are unpredictable. meanwhile aespa couldn't even enter melon top 10 and barely crossed 200K ULs, but here are their fans trying to tell blinks what flopping looks like

to break it down:
MYs spent a year touting Aespa as the trendiest girl group in Korea. Every time someone tried to say IVE was doing well, there was always a cocky MY at the scene going "wAiT fOr AeSpA cOMeBaCk." Aespa came back. 2 pre-releases, 1 title track. Not one track broke 300K ULs, even with weeks of promotions and with weak competition. Compared to the things MYs were saying, Aespa underperformed greatly, which is why they were dragged to hell. They also don't have the international stats to make up for it.
Blinks knew NJ were smashing (Attention is looking to be bigger than Next Level, btw) so they were prepared for BP not going #1. Without promo, PV is still incredibly stable on every chart and will probably peak with 500K+ ULs. They are #1 or #2 everywhere. Not once have I seen any blink on this forum come for IVE or NJ, like the way MYs were doing with IVE in anons every fucking day when Eleven and then Love Dive were smashing.
TLDR: when BP do numbers like Aespa, feel free to call them flops. But no way are you all going to make it seem like almost 500K ULs without promo and #1 or #2 on every chart is a flop

because blackpink is far from flopping they have break records in this comeback and internationally, they are stronger than ever being #2 it's not flopping at all , newjeans is the trend now ( similar to what happened with aespa's next level) so it's great given the circumstances. About aespa they only did well on album sales they couldn't even maintain being in the top 15 and later fell off the charts .

Yes they are bigger. They are behind only on two charts, and look at the ul's. That should tell you something. Also attention is viral song just like next level was.
And yes for a 6 year old group with 2 years of hiatus, this result is amazing.
