    1. Balanced group members : All the members are above average at vocal, dance and rap, but there's nobody that have stand out talents

    VS

    2. Definite position group members : they have the final boss of singing, but they're stiff at dancing, they have a final boss at dancing, but they're tone deaf, etc..

    What is your preference?

    original post: here

    1. 1 for me... I hate having holes in the group

    2. 2, I rather they're crazily good in one area

    3. 2, whether you lack in singing or dancing, with experience, you'll be able to fill that hole

    4. 2, I rather definite talent... If the main vocal doesn't have a crazily good voice, I can't even be drawn to them

    5. 2, If you don't have a clear position, your group looks ambiguous

    6. 1, I can't stand having a hole in the group, if they keep looking unpleasant to the eye, they'll never hit big

    7. It's so obviously #1

    8. 2... Honestly, it'd be hard for me to find the charming point in #1, I join fandoms based on skills

    9. 1, If only one person is stiff on stage, the stage and song quality drops considerably, and if they try to cut down the parts of the stiff members, the fans will throw a fit about why that member is getting less parts

    10. 2222, if everyone is an all-rounder, there's no fun to it

  • I think groups with indefinite positions eliminate fighting over what positions each member should have. Like people say all the time that they think that Jihyo should be the lead or even the main dancer, that Jeongyeon should get more lines as she is a lead vocalist in the group and it's still so surprising to me that Sana's only position is Sub Vocal.

I kind of think that Twice's positions are arguably outdated because it's from years ago at their debut and some members have improved a lot since then.

  • Balanced. I like to see different members get different parts.

Not the same person getting the high note always, or every song having a rap part in it because that's all the rapper can do, or the dance break always only have the same one dancer in it.

Or the vocal line getting 90% of a songs lines and one or two members getting a word or two only (Gowon, Vivi *cough*)

Spread the love! Justice for all idols!

  • I just noticed from all the groups that I stan, I choose 1. Idol's skills evolve through the year of experience, so at least if all of them doing it decently or even above average, then they can explore any kind of music genres or any kind of complicated choreo.

For example, this kind of performance will be such a disaster if one member lacking dance skill

Or song like this? It sounds nice if all of them sing well.
