Aespa is a 2 years old group with fans saying they are the biggest internationally and a company known to push acts internationally. Just go find in the main why. People do not expect a rookie to do good internationally unless you are from an insecure rival fandom.

reason #1 - company privilege. newjeans is a hybe group aka they already have secured a stable army of company stans ready to fight with their lives for them because someone brainwashed them hybe is the best company ever with the best groups ever and they can do nothing wrong. add to the mix min heejin who, for some reason, fans treat like a god and there you have it. aespa also has sm stans but they're somehow not as wild and a bit more selective with which groups to defend and which to push under the bus

reason #2 - newjeans' fans just aren't annoying. mys and their superiority complex is responsible for a big part of the hate aespa is getting currently. i promise you if y'all weren't on everyone's ass screaming "aeskarma, aespa biggest gg outsold ABC and XYZ" and trying to compete with groups that are obviously levels above aespa in terms of pretty much everything - from performances to stats, half of the fandoms that are on your neck rn wouldn't even care for them AI girlies. y'all set them up yourselves
