i think all cbs should have a rollout like newjeans' debut

  • attention, hype boy, and cookie are all newjeans' promoted, lead singles. so by dropping attention with no prior announcement, no pictures, no member introductions (since it was a debut), they essentially posted a title track mv out of nowhere. very gutsy but obviously paid off.

It is brave to do so at their debut but you are saying others should follow the same for their comebacks. But what? This isn't anything new for those who have already been there. If I'm not wrong recently aespa released 'Illusion' without any prior notice. I remember even Beast had a pre-release which became national hit back in 2007 or 2008. These releases aren't anything new to kpop comebacks. So what should other kpop groups actually do that NewJeans is exclusively doing? Unless your thread is only about debut. Which again isn't feasible to do for any other kpop group at their debut unless they come from pretty big company like NewJeans does hence will get attention no matter what and will have resources to do so....

you completely ignored everything i just explained and are harping on something im not talking about... releasing a BSIDE as a pre-release is not the same as dropping an mv for a title track. also im mainly talking about skipping the "teasing" stage of a cb and just releasing the mv/music. the examples you gave of bts and aespa aren't even the same because they still went on to release concept pictures and teasers and the whole normal pre-comeback rollout before the actual title track... i don't think its that hard to see how newjeans' rollout is not comparable to that.
