most kpop fans i meet irl are armys, bg stans, or blinks

most kpop fans i meet irl are one of the 3:

1. armys

2. blinks

3. bg stans

its so weird coming onto akp and seeing the majority being gg stans when, in my experience, irl (when i go to kpop stores, going to concerts, ppl i met at kcon, just randomnly finding out ppl are kpop fans) most are usually bg stans, armys, or blinks, with a big emphasis on the bg stans. like the only 5 ggs that ive acc met liking them irl is blackpink(if they aren't exclusively blinks), twice, red velvet, itzy, and ive but they're more casual fans or they really do stan them but the majority of the groups they stan are bgs.

ive yet to meet an aespa fan, but ive been seeing more ive fans. i feel like this is going to get some ppl pressed but i noticed that irl, people usually know wonyoung and yujin not even from izone but from their mc jobs with the bg members. like usually the ppl who like ive are enhyphen, nct, or treasure fans. but i think love dive success also helped.

I guess it make sense, given how popular those groups are. I met a MMM fan once and I was like, YOUUU EXIIISTTT, IN MY AREA??? lol.

It's just fun to trade knowledge or song releases/recommendation with other fans, its great IRL.

when i was in high school (graduated a year ago) i was friends with a lot of kpop stans and they usually liked BTS or EXO. for girl groups it was either Twice or Red Velvet, but mostly for their music and not in a stanning way

- a guy that was both exo-L and army. I only found he was a kpop stan bc he was wearing a shirt of exo, then we talked and i think hes more of army

- a guy that was a very dedicated girls day stan and knew all of the choreos

- a girl that is a shawol and apparently afraid of being associated with kpop (just the vibe i picked)

At work (less than 10 ppl work w me and i live in a v small town)

At street, in my 50k habitants town

- 1 other little girl w bp shirt

- a young woman w bts shirt

At a bigger town, capital of my country

- a guy w exo shirt (not the same from my classroom)

- a girl w a jimin mask, or jin i dont remember (it wasnt even during covid time)

- a girl w monsta x sweater

Im a female brazilian mbb (mostly, i was mainly a mx stan when i met 90% of these ppl)
