I'll be honest, I don't know a thing about this group outside this song. Is it a subunit? Or just two groups with similar names?
I stanned TO1 til their company just yet again fucked them up
announcing 3 new members then telling us 3 others members left, 3 other KEY members.
TO1 is a Korean K-pop group
JO1 is a japanese group
I listened to the TT and it's terrible...it's nothing like the sound they had prior. I find it hard to want to stan/support them after several key members left without telling us why or what happened.

Woah, thats crazy. The company definitely made an interesting decision switching the members like that. Even though I like the song, I can see why it would be so upsetting to have their sound totally change too after that.
angers me because they went through so much shit since debut forced on to road to kingdom when they had only one song and no experience, then a lawsuit and name change, now a member leaves, then they say HEY 3 NEW MEMBERS OH BY THE WAY 3 OTHER MEMBERS LEFT

Yeah Jo1 is Japanese group formed from Produce 101 Japan. Meanwhile To1 is a kpop group formed from the survival show World Klass.
To1 actually used to be TOO, but after the management dispute with CJ ENM and n.CH. CJ ENM took over management, and I think this led to rebranding themselves as TO1.
I can see how their names are confusing, but yeah they don't really have anything to do with each other, and TO1 wasn't intended to have a similar name to begin with...
