what happen to Zico ?

doesnt have a strong enough fandom to carry a mid song or even promote it... its sad but if gp arent checking it then i dont think it will chart much. Idk what he was thinking coming out with a song like that after he had one of the most gp friendly songs prior.

military hiatus killed his momentum and he doesn't have a big fandom; Seoul Drift was too chill a song to grab people's attention and Freak is just too wacky for the GP to grab onto it. Not to mention he got covid the day before his promotions started so a lot of people don't even know he released a song.

I've always liked Zico. Anyone that's followed his career knows he wasn't always a chart topper. He's gone through peeks and valleys.

He had arguably his biggest song 6 years into his solo career. Although he did have some successes before.

He just got discharged from the military. That's just a reality of Korean male artists. You're going to lose 18-24 months of your career. Which can halt any momentum you may be having.

Unless you're G-Dragon, you're not going to be able to lose those years and come back sustain the same success.
