Jealous kpop stans are fooling no one except the ones who want to play a savior role

    Forgive me when I say that this outrage is orchestrated and the kpop fans behind it are very transparent.

    Since it all started with "this new group is so fresh, unique and unexpected! I'm stanning!" to "why is this group getting so much hype???" to "they're too young! so stop supporting them !!"


    ALSO started with "Min Heejin did a good job with the concept !" to "Why is this woman getting so much credit for my faves !" and ended with "She's a creep so stop supporting !"


    I've seen enough of this bipolar behaviour from Kpop stans for a number of groups that I'm absolutely numb to it now. I won't play the part of a sheep in this one nor will I play the defense. Because I already know how this all ends. Let me enlighten you about what's going to happen next and it always does happen.



    WHAT IS MOST LIKELY TO HAPPEN :

    Kpop stans will spread their narratives far and wide (tiktok, youtube, twitter, forums etc). Then there will be a divide between the ones who support pedophilia (so called sheep/the defenders) or the ones who admonish p*dophilia (so called saviors). Because kpop stans cannot have a discussion without it ending in them taking sides. TThroughout this the fanwars escalate because I'll be frank, the root of this outrage is jealousy and while very few will actually admit the truth, or are capable of even seeing the forest (the bigger picture) over seeing the trees (hyperfocusing on just one aspect) there are kpop stans who are intuitive enough to figure it out. And by that I mean they will be able to see the purpose of this outrage that was started by a handful of very jealous individuals.



    Their purpose is not to uncover whether this woman is really a pedo or not. No because they were already quick to decide that she WAS a pedophile. Nor is their purpose to create a shift in the industry because nothing will actually change. Know why? Kpop stans are all talk and zero action. Anyway the real purpose here is to stop the hype of this group. Their purpose is to make people shy away from them or make them feel uncomfortable enough that they will no longer choose to stan. Their purpose is to dull people's interest in them.


    And the ones who play the role of savior will convince themselves and other people (perhaps the ones who may not have jealous intentions) that what they are doing is the right thing!


    You'll find them praising themselves for their behavior!


    FINALLY These saviors of kpop will do one of two things after this is all over. If the small jealous group amongst them gets what they really want and as I said before, what they want is to squash the hype for this new group, then they will forget about it after a few days and put their savior persona back into it's box until another group is stealing the spotlight from their faves. But if they do not actually get what they want then they will simply use their narratives as a weapon or as a trump card of sorts to shame other people for even showing any kind of support towards this group.

    Now I say just sit back and watch for this exact behavior to unfold!

    Excellent post OP. You've hit the nail on the head. Sadly thought, it will continue, because this community and genre is basically ruled and fueled by those who sit behind their screens. And the validation that comes from the cancelling the "enemy" and "protecting" their faves is their mission.

    I swear everytime I saw posts going "I don't know, I I feel uncomfortable, I can't stan kids" The first thing that comes to my mind is "So you mean to tell me is, you don't trust yourself and you only view your faves as sexual objects?" the second this is "Just say what you really want, that you don't want this group to exist" period.

    Truth is this discourse is actually quite exhausting, and before reading your post I was actually feeling like just blocking out New Jeans entirely because I really can't be bothered at this point. But that's exactly what those people want. They want New Jeans to flop and for people to disassociate themselves - because honestly, what other outcome could possibly happen from this discourse?


    It's not as if New Jeans is going to rescind their debut or Min Hee Jin will step down or the whole Kpop industry will forever be changed.


    No, the only other outcome other than New Jeans finding success is that New Jeans flops because of this discourse and the rest of the Kpop Industry will continue to debut underage teens in short outfits and the rest and the Kpop community will give themselves a pat on the back thinking they've done these girls with nothing but dreams in their hearts a huge favor when their careers go under while still propping up the same industry and ignoring all the other groups who do the exact same thing but don't have New Jeans hype.

    this is not exclusive to this group, people were calling out some nugu company some days ago for using a 15 year old in their sexy gg, they were calling out starship for debuting 07 liner leeso, they been calling out sm for debuting 14 year taemin, jinri and krystal, for sexualizing 17 year old kai, calling yg for giving minzi sexy dancing at 14, jyp fo EVERYTHING


    Thin been here for a long time, it to a lesser extent with 3r gen bc after tzuyu companies didnt debut minors then it took again with izone when everybody wonder if making 13-14 old wy work to extent hours was ok for a kid

    I'd believe all this outrage if I thought these kpop fans actually care about this issue. But we all know the majority of them are only bringing awareness to this for the wrong reasons.


    It's sad for the ones who actually care and have been telling people that woman is a creep for years.


    I can assure you this issue will be forgotten by next month and people will pick a new social issue to pretend to care about by then.

    honestly, I can point out most kpop group with minor in it have done questionable concept, styling, songs, lyrics for their age, like IVE, treasure, enhypen, twice, loona..... and the list goes on and on but people do not care they just don't like newjeans.

    I wasn't saying people never called these groups out, my point is the degree to which it is being done to New Jeans while no other group's case is being treated with nearly the same severity. All these other idols' careers aren't being affected after the five minutes of outrage by like a handful of people. In New Jean's case the whole situation has turned into a major scandal.

    hmm idk not everything is about jealousy and bringing the down the hottest group atm. like not everything is about jealousy in kpop and defending the company or the group. i'm think most of these "jealous people" do not mean to harm newjeans but to let people know about min heejin again and her obsession with these works but also other types like min heejin the entertainment world. its okay to be sad that this controversy is may be taking some of the attention away from the new debuted gg though :-)

    hybe antis and threatened gg stan are those that are giving fake concerns. as if they really care but thing is they will be disappointed. New Jeans will continue to shine
