JYP managed to keep both Lia/Hyunjin despite scandals. What did they do right?

  • You don't fight JYP. Like the Bermuda Triangle, people mysteriously disappear when fighting JYP.

  • Fewer determined hardcore antis and witch hunt squads.

  • I think it's fair to say that JYP is more interested in international success vs Korean success by keeping those two. Both their groups are flopping in Korea unfortunately, so I guess that's the trade off for keeping two bullies.

  • Nothing, they just stuck it through.

These scandals always pass but companies like to overreact and make irreversible decisions like getting rid of the members.

People were already forgetting about the case until it was brought back up again yesterday.

The amount of people who would "cancel a group over it" is so small and insignificant that the amount of fans (who don't follow or care for scandals like this) would had made up for the potential fans loss by 10 fold.

  • soojin and garam were doomed as soon as the companies decided to fight it hard and talk about it all the time, and took time to do something. Hyunjin just apologize as soon as the scandal blowed up and then went to hiatus, simple as it is

  • It doesn't even matter if they did something right or not. This should be a reminder to kpop fans that these companies and Korea themselves put these unreachable demands on these idol kids. People in their society now can't make mistakes? It's ridiculous man, medieval thought process. Could never take this industry seriously.

  • Hyunjin and Lia have no evidence what so ever and can't even be compared with Garam and Soojin situation.

Soojin had a whole other celebrity come forward against her and Garam has a shit ton of evidence and on top of it didn't show any remorse for her actions.

People were definitely not forgetting garam’s scandal

    Bullying isn’t just a mistake

  • It would've been silly for jyp to get rid of hyunjin. He's stray kids most popular member and stan attractor. Everyone forgot about lia's scandal after a couple days.

  • Bullying isn’t just a mistake

I know you feel this way because you've been bullied. But there's a reason why underage children don't get tried the same as adults. And this isn't even a crime. The deep desire from this community to lynch people for mistakes that many people make and are forgiven for is truly eye opening.

  • You shouldn't be condemned years later about something you did when you were still a child.

The fact that this is common practice in South Korea is insane.

Netizens don't realise that when they go after celebs and idols for something they did as a kid, those netizens are as much part of the bullying culture as the ones they bash.

Any crowd that has the vibe of a lynching mob or witch hunt, are part of the problem too.

  • Makes sense they tried to keep hyunjin as he is like the only popular member but lia? i know she is the main vocal but she is not much better singer than the others and her dancing skills just brings the group down.

    This, aA voice of reason.

I've actually been bullied by someone who was also bullied. Long story short, we ended up as friends now and he's a decent guy. Children do things for all sorts of reasons, sometimes its bad upbringing, sometimes its the pressure to fit in, sometimes its going with the crowd.

I'd like to consider myself a decent person but I can say I'd be so screwed if I was judged on things I did and said as a kid...

I would agree with if I didn't just literally read about a 3rd grader, 9 y.o, killing himself because his friends bullied him to have sex with a cat and record it. So no i really don't care how old someone is when their bullying another person. a bully is a bully.

  • It's been over a year since these happened. Y'all need to move on for real. Like get a life or a jobe
