I wasn't very surprised by her international successes but considering Twice's charting the past year domestically I was pleasantly surprised to see her doing so well. It's not like I expected her to flop or anything. I just expected her charting to be more like alcohol-free. Guess I underestimated how popular she is in Korea

when the first snippet of “pop!” came out, i wasn’t necessarily expecting a hit but i saw it doing well since it’s so reminiscent of early-twice and very catchy! and then i heard the full song and was sold lol, combined with the fun choreo, it’s the perfect summer bop

I expected the song to get a lot of attention because it is Twice's first solo release but I did not expect it to do so well domestically and internationally. Pop is the perfect summer song and the I am super happy for Nayeon. Definitely impressed that it seems like a proper era despite the very short promo period.

I definitely wasn't. I'm too logical sometimes. I usually don't expect solos to do better than the group because I would think all fans would buy the group releases but not all fans will buy solo releases because not everyone will care about Nayeon.
But after I heard the song a few times and fell in love with the song, I was like this is what kpop needs, this is what is missing right now, it will do well. But now I'm feeling this song should do even better...
