It could be closer to Lollapalloza ie maybe July 22nd... if they announced it this coming week than that would give about a month of pre orders possibly.
Maybe they're waiting for Left & Right to drop first so there aren't too many overlapping promotions of two members but idk

Why the hell would they do that? Even if they dont have confidence in his sales thats a ridiculous decision....if hybe wants to have a negative start to this chapter thats the best way to piss people off
News will be dropping this monday, I expect the release date to be the 25th

Albums can be digital too…not just mixtapes although nothing is confirmed ofc…

Okay... So there is a pattern with BTS releases and it is like following :
When there is no music content to be released between pre order date and album release date period, album announcement comes around 3 weeks before.
When there is music content to be released between that period, it is announced atleast 4 weeks before.
In my observation, the only album that breaks this rule is 'BE' which was an unusual BTS release.
Since this is a solo album, most probably there won't be any music releases in between this period like Intro or comeback trailer or pre release. So it actually doesn't make sense to have long pre order period. It reduces the hype which is evident from other k-pop releases this year with long pre order periods. Hence this album will most probably have 3 weeks of pre orders.
If the release date is any of the 15th or 22nd July then pre orders should start next week at the furthest.
If there are no pre orders till the end of this month i.e. 30th June then it seems it will be a digital release.
When it is only a digital release then the album announcement comes around 10 days before the album release date. So depending on the release date, album announcement will come early July.

thank you for the insight!! i will be sad if it isn't a physical release but i also understand that maybe it is to lessen the burden of performance for his first official album however my senses tell me we will get a physical version.
