Who do you prefere between Liz and Yujin as vocalists in IVE?

I was under the impression that vocals aren't important in kpop anymore since everybody is using autotune and prerecorded tracks. No shade to the artists. Even older legends do it now. They can't be blamed since it's just what the audience wants.

They aren't the best vocalists in kpop but they have nice vocals, they aren't bad.

You can check them out, they only had their debut and first comeback

I'm a sucker for live performances. But since 2015 thats a dying breed in kpop.

And there are just a few gems left who refuse to go with the Trent.

I don't follow them closely to know if they have live performances but there might be some especially from music shows or other performances.

Since nowadays even encore and shows like immortal song are backtracked and they also fake pitch and breath, its hard to say what is real live.

Here i would go with Liz is the most stable singer. she sang most freely while yujin and I think the others are leeseo and wonyoung voices were thin and super low volume.

General all voices are pretty. And they are still rookies. So they should do well.

At the moment vocals aren't important anyway. At the produce shows the vocalists got eliminated while the dancer and visuals get the votes. They are usually the most popular in the groups. Furthermore the trending songs Girl Crush with rap, fast speak, dance break, noise music need much less singing then the more pop, balad, highnote songs that may be more trending in the past.

I don't mean to shade. different trend means different not bad. I still wish live singing would Trend again like it used to be from 2012 till 2014. So thanks for a thread we're i can speak about it. 😅

Yeah ofc Ive aren't all great vocalists but they are decent and they can always improve.

For live performances sadly it's becoming less common nowdays and kpop was never about good vocalists in the end, still there are groups with really good vocalists in kpop but the most important factor is the music first, then the rest I think. Someone can be talented but having songs we don't like
