Will wonyoung end up like chaeyeon

    I acknowledge that wonyoung is the it girl right now but I remember when jung chaeyeon was super popular and now shes just whatever

    Girl was at KBS Drama Awards just end of last year and snatched a main lead role for an MBC drama. She had a hiatus that slowed her momentum but its not like shes unemployed like some other idols

    First season of PD101 and IOI were never as popular internationally but they were huge domestically and Jung Chaeyeon was arguably top 3 most popular IOI member with Sejeong and Somi. She had tons of solo CFs and was booked in dramas and variety shows everywhere. Somi's Dumb Dumb challenge with Chaeyeon was like the most viewed iirc even ahead of Sejeong and Chungha and was like 95% all Korean comments. She's a lot bigger in Korea than people realise.

    Chaeyeon was never an it girl like Wonyoung. Yes she was popular and had cfs but not as influential as Wony. It girls don't lose their status just like that. Only a scandal would make that happen and sometimes not even that.

    Heads went from one of the biggest it girl in 2020 to a nobody by 2021, never underestimate how fickle the public can be. She only lasted like 2 years as an it girl.
