Unless NATO itself is the factor of disorder in the region. Like an arsonist fireman. From a Russian perspective, the fact NATO still exists 30 years after the fall of the Soviet Union can be seen as an endless provocation, especially if it keeps integrating countries closer and closer to Russian borders.

This conflict could have been avoided if NATO/US/Zelensky issued a statement assuring the Russians that Ukraine would not join NATO and make a diplomatic effort to return to the Minsk agreement. Chomsky warned this would happen years ago.
Don't you think that the current events will only convince NATO members that Russia is a threat and that more military bases should be built on the border with it?
