i will say, the updates are few and far between now. there were maybe like 3-4 articles in the past 24hrs with any real new information and not just rehashing things we already know. best bet is to follow tmikpop on twitter
Tbh I don't agree with those that think Min Heejin is easily disposal or replaceable - her antics aside, I think she's particularly gifted and an integral part of New Jeans' identity and success. That said, right now her persona is more damaging to New Jeans than her creative vision benefits them so to me the best case scenario is still that she leaves without imploding New Jeans behind her.
I don't see any outcome where she is not kicked out of Hybe, simply bc they own 80% of Ador. Whether Hybe is justified or not doesn't matter - CEOs get replaced all the time. The rest depends on the members and their parents.
thats why i think best case for mhj would have been to willingly step down as ceo but leverage her part in newjeans' success to stay on as their creative director. but thats clearly not enough for her. after her illit rant i have no doubt hybe will remove her as ceo and try to fire her from the company all together. its just about how long it takes them to do that now.

There are levels to this. Plenty of songs got off to big starts. Literally NONE have had the longevity of Hype Boy, one of the FOUR debut songs that were at or near the top of the charts when NewJeans debuted. So, my point stands that it is disingenuous and a bad faith argument to claim ILLIT has replicated the success of NewJeans.

It is far too early to forecast how Magnetic will ultimately perform relative to NewJeans' title tracks long term. It's off to a better start, and I won't deny that, but Hype Boy is still a top 30 song after nearly two years and is on pace to be the most streamed girl group song EVER. There is absolutely no guarantee Magnetic won't lose steam long before it can approach that record.
Even with that said, I already gave Magnetic its flowers regardless and said it could have the title of biggest debut song. Your little two cents had no value after that, so what are you even trying to prove?

Nobody disputed how well Magnetic performed on the charts, but the point of contention was that Hybe had replicated the success of NewJeans, when NewJeans charted their entire discography and took over the charts, not just one song. Their debut had an obviously much bigger impact, and the historic success of their follow up title tracks only further reinforced that fact.
NewJeans had nearly every chart record before they were even a half year old.

The meeting of adore's board of directors is apparently supposed to be on the 30th. If she is not voted out at that point, hybe will go to court and 2 months from now will likely be able to hold their own meeting to vote her out. It is no longer in mhj's hands whether she stays ceo or not.
