I think it's because Ningning is really popular among non fans, just casual listeners that specifically like her but won't stan.

Also I guess it could be that a lot of MYs like her just after their bias.

A lot of people are mentioning luck and right place, right time, which I agree.

Another factor is that there's no room for another huge group. Imo it's very difficult for a newer group to surpass their big sister group (if they were very successful themselves) from the same company when they're still active.

2ne1 disbanded a little after bp's debut which now gives them space to grow. The same thing happened with Wonder girls.

We also all know SM abandons the older groups for the newer ones, even if they don't disband.

f(x) were obviously successful but they never surpassed snsd, the same thing with itzy. That's why when BM debuted I knew they wouldn't be as big as BP, because BP are still active and breaking records.

The thing about 4th gen is that the companies are focusing on the western market but the 4th gen groups aren't even dominating S. Korea. There isn't one huge group in Korea, just several big groups but no one became as big as Twice or Snsd at their prime to be given the title of the Nation's GG. Same thing with bg, there's no 4th gen bg to even come close to exo, bb or bts.

BTS and BP were already really big in Korea and Asia before entering the western market.

Tbh NewJeans had the biggest potential but Hybe happened.

There are surely popular and successful 4th gen bg songs but it would be too soon to call them legendary.

I actually like the direction he took for his solo career. I love Ponytail !!

But to be honest, Jinyoung's solo songs (Dive, Cotton Candy and Letter) are the ones I've been listening to the most.

Youngjae and Yugyeom didn't enlist yet. Jay b and Jinyoung will get discharged in early November. Mark said got7 will comeback in 2025 before yugyeom enlists in the military. So we can expect a comeback next year hopefully.

I like some of their solo stuff too, especially Jackson’s or BamBam’s, but it’s just not the same anymore without the whole Ahga-gang involved. 😿

TBH, I thought that was just JYP’s song selection fault and they’d go right back to making bangers like Just Right & If You Do once they finally left JYPE, but then once they reformed again under a brand new label, they just released another same mediocre song the same style as their last string of singles that just kept floppier and floppier and saving the good stuff for their solos, and now they haven’t come back as a group since! It’s been 2 whole years now and no mention or word anywhere of another group comeback and I’m starting to lose hope and pay less attention to GOT7 in general, even with their solos.

They need another really good group comeback to come and get everyone’s attention again and boost the popularity of all their solos! Tho Jackson’s song with BIBI did really well I think maybe (?) *quickly double checks \ Yeah, they did! We need GOT7 to come back along with BTS soon (next June) and then they can remind everyone again the power of 3rd generation boy groups! Well anyway at least I know BTS will comeback and slay again in 2025. Maybe they can get inspired then and join in too!

I was also disappointed by their latest comeback and thought without jyp, they'll have better songs. I just hope they'll release something better in the future.

The reason they're not releasing anything anymore is because of military service.

I always knew she had the biggest potential of going solo (because she's the most capable singer and the most musically inclined, she also has a nice unique voice that everyone recognizes) but I lost hope after listening to OTG.

I'm glad for how things turned out to be.

I thought Rosé said in an interview that she wasn't really close with Bruno mars when they started recording but became closer later on.

That's well deserved, she's talented, a really good vocalist, has an angelic voice, she's smart and works hard.
