They didn't seem like they were going to continue with Bigbang anyway.

The Album almost 3 years old and still going strong
For a moment I was wondering which album you were talking about
-
When I stan a group, there is most of the time one member that I dislike and feel is useless.
-
I love drama. Kpop is too peaceful nowadays
-
So it's true, they're really dating
-
they were right OP
how dare you suggest singers should have vocal lessons?
whats next? you would ask surgeons to study anatomy?
I'm in medical school.
It's honestly very disrespectful of you to suggest that. I don't need anatomy lessons, I can just improve with experience. I'm still young, I have time.

Do people decide who their favorite idols are based on their bodies ?
What if they gain or lose weight ?

we gonna have to fight, why you out here stealing my food cause you HUNGRY!? get UP and ORDER MORE!!!reminds me back in middle school me and my friends used to skip school, we would run out and jump over the fence that caged the school in, to get to this plaza that had this poutine store, and cause I was in middle school like grade 6 I didn't know nothing about money so I would steal coins out of my mom's PURSE and pay for the poutine FOR ALL my STEALING friends who couldn't GET A JOB and pay for the food, and then they had the AUDACITY to eat my poutine too once they finished THEIRS. I should have SLAPPED THEM!!!!!
I would never share my fries even when the other person does NOT get fries, let alone when they do. It's on sight
That's the spirit !
Don't give up on your food without a fight

The members are talented, I was very hyped by their pre debut videos on youtube. But their styling, concept, image aren't well executed, to put it nicely. Their music doesn't help either.
When you see Lesserafim, NewJeans, Ive, Itzy, you get an expensive/exclusive vibe from them. I can't say the same about Nmixx.
They have potential tho

All live actions are ass and I refuse to watch the lion king still
Also why do ppl even care so much about these movies just watch the original if you’re that upset
I've watched the lion king, it wasn't worth it at all
I remember being at the cinema, telling myself I should've just stayed home and watched the cartoon instead.

Unless there was a mutual agreement to share food, I always found it as ill mannered to eat from somebody else's food. Just eat from your own plate.
It happened to me a lot with my friends. We would order the same thing, but I eat very slowly so by the time they already finished their plate, the take from mine.
-
But if that is the case like you said, you assume a lot of them do not have good intentions
But wouldn't it be unfair to those who do not have ill intentions
It's kinda like generalising the entire adult population.
Just like for instance crazy fans from a specific fandom and now we generalise the entire fandom to be crazy, now it's generalising an entire age group because some of them are weird
I never said all adults have ill intentions.
I'm an adult myself but I don't offended when people are worried about the majority of NJ fandom being adults. It's a valid concern when you know how kpop fans behave in general.
It's not really about generalising, you just really have to face the reality of the situation. A lot of kpop fans are obsessive and the majority of NJ fandom are adults. You just need to connect the dots. People are just worried and rightfully so. It's not too deep.
It's not like I'm demanding all adults fans to face legal charges or anything.
-
I said this before in the same thread but just an example
My parents watch Stranger Things, and they love the show a lot. As we all know, Stranger Things is a show full of kid actors.
If my parents go for a fansigns event or those conventions to have a meet and greet with the kid actors to say how much they love them and how talented they are would that be weird?
If it is weird then case close I guess.
If it isn't weird then why isn't it weird for these kids, but weird for NJs and kpop?
I get what you mean but your parents aren't obsessed with those kids, they like their work.
In kpop fans stan the idol more than the music really. If it wasn't the case they wouldn't go crazy when their idol gets into a dating scandal, or even just interact with the opposite gender. The reason why male and female idols avoid interacting is the obsessive fans.
I would assume your parents aren't like that.
I am not saying if your adult, you shouldn't like them but when the majorty of the fandom are adults, I would assume a lot of them do not have good intentions because NJ aren't an exception, they do have obsessive fans and if the majority are adults then that's concerning.

Random thought
Some 40 or 50 year olds, men or women, could possibly have children whose ages are the same as NJs
And probably would also interact with other children around their own children's age. And would also think that they are pretty/handsome, talented, smart etc etc. And also chances they would watch other kids performances or school stages acts whatever.
So it is weird if it was towards idols but not weird if it was towards other kids?
A parent just watching a performance of their kids or other kids in school is completely okay. But if they start following this kid on social media trying to know everything about them, if they'll perform somewhere else and so on, then thats creepy.
Again there's nothing wrong with listening to a song, but that just make you a casual listener. Being a fan is when you go beyond that.
-
1. they look legal already but not mature maybe that the correct wording?
and OMG and Ditto is the weakest song/MV for me not a fan too sleepest
2.but why as a fan we needed to unstan them after knowing their age ?
fans only playlisting their song, MV etc and hype them in comment section?
it almost the same as other type of entertainment
3. what will we do wait until they grow up ?
or how about their Y2K HYPEBOY concept their song is nostalgia also for 30s and up
that 2000s is to some is their HS/College era
or whatever classic nostalgia reminding your teenages life?
and can't ignore Cookie is a bop
and the double meaning can be ignore ..especially if you grow up in the previous decade that double meaning really common to a lot of western song1. It doesn't matter if you don't like omg or ditto, it's very clear they aren't promoted with a more 'mature' image unlike Lesserafim with eunchae. They look like teenagers.
2. I never said there's anything wrong with listening to a song, the problem is kpop fans don't just listen to songs, they engage in some kind of obsessive behaviors/parasocial relationships which is in itself weird (even for underage fans) but if you are an adult then that's another level of weird. I know not everyone is like that but it still happens a lot in kpop and is encouraged by the industry.
So if you tell me the majority of the fandom are adults, statistically a lot of them are creeps.
I am 21, I like their songs, but I don't spend my time watching their videos, streaming their songs, making a fanpage and I definitely will not go to a fansign.

Produce 101 (season 1)
I miss IOI a lot
-
- can be attraction
- can be aesthetic
or both
defense on attraction
if no one mention their age or we not known their ageyou can still attract ,
because they look like already a grown woman
some 14-17 is look like mature looking woman already an 18 up
afterall the idol image they sell to us is a grown woman
end of the day you can't teach attractionAt the end of the day, we just don't know enough about what attracts someone to something,
and this guy spouting everything here as absolute fact isn't doing anyone any favors.
What about LGBTQ people? Are they socially conditioned to be gay/lesbian?
Cause that opens a whole gigantic can of worms and he just essentially implied that. source from reddit
I agree you can't teach attraction, but the thing is :
1. NJ don't look mature, they look underage. People are literally saying they do not look mature enough to model for big luxury brands and that they look like they're wearing their mother's clothes.
Don't tell me they look mature, have you seen their stage outfits for OMG ?
2. Even if you got attracted to them at the beginning, you will learn their age very soon. Don't tell me kpop fans do not know their idols age. So all of those 75% adult fans do know they are mostly minors and still choose to stan.
3. You said : "afterall the idol image they sell to us is a grown woman"
That's not necessary true (especially in NJ's case). If it was, kpop groups (including NJ) wouldn't have the school uniform concept, the cute/innocent concept.
