It's very interesting to analyze how It all scaled to the point It is how It is today.
Everything started when Fearnots used a pre-recorded 'Perfect Night' dance video to brag about how LE SSERAFIM was able to sing stable while dancing unlike other groups. It was a popular discussion on Twitter and when they came back with 'Easy' weeks later, all eyes were on them on their encore, so fandoms took advantage of their weak performance there to ratio a tweet with it and getting revenge. The viral tweet reached korean forums and they started to be dragged there too. Less than two months later Coachella happened and we all saw how most people reacted online.
On top of that, Chaewon's shade on instagram and Sakura's weverse post saying she was proud of her performance and wouldn't bow down got negative responses. To add fuel to the fire, Source Music had the great idea of making a documentary where people saw them as vitimizing themselves more than worring about improving and let the public even more annoyed of them.
I'd say MHJ-HYBE controversy didn't have the much big of an impact on their image. HYBE stans and Fearnots made it about them more than actually It was.

But are you more of a team Chrollo or team Hisoka?
Answer wisely, what you say might trigger me more than whatever you said about Stray Kids here

I didn't even quote you, fam
Please

Oh, so everybody knows and some are still loud enough to try to be shady about something that could be said with proofs about their faves and not just a coping wish.
But yes, seeing how you guys are posting their updates I'm quite confident they'll sell out with a great capacity, not just a title with an arena capacity. Anyways, wish you all success, I'm sure fans must be super excited to see them live.
I would be if this was BP in Brazil
I'm one these excited fans, finally. I'm going to see them for the first time in nearly 5 years
Hopefully we will be able to attend a BLACKPINK concert in the future and Latam will stop being ignored

The real cope is pretending great touring completely negates people outside the group's fandom not knowing a single song from their discography or knowing any of the individual members.
I never once downplayed their touring power or fandom. But it doesn't erase the huge glaring hole in their case for being a top POPULAR group that is their inability to get the public to give a shit about them.
The cream of the crop have all boxes checked, not just one.
It wasn't even about you but another user on this thread, chill
-
I know what you mean lol
But I follow their numbers consistently and I confidently assure you there's absolutely nothing to worry about. So whatever people say about their tour doesn't trigger me and It's not worth it to type thesis trying to prove anything, in fact, I see purely as a cope mechanism.

"Stop talking about the charts! Look at the tour! Who cares nobody outside the fandom knows any of their music and couldn't name a song of their lives depended on it! Look at our fandom!!"
Yep. You're crying and so is anyone else coming here posting that nonsense rhetoric.
The rules have been well established for a long time. To be considered TRULY one of the Titans of the industry, you need to have a strong fandom AND be popular with the public and have at least ONE signature hit song
SK checks only one box.
Anyway, I said I was done so I'll leave it at that. I only hopped in because I've detected a growth in the frequency of this narrative and people were getting way too comfortable with lowering the bar that should remain high for crowning groups as icons of their generation.
The fact the first paragraph simply never happened and I didn't dismiss or criticize any of these things is sending me.
I think you need to calm down, It's just a thread that will disappear in few hours from first page.

Then stop your pathetic crying. As everyone knows, if you poke the bear, prepare to get mauled
Not my fault Stray Kids are basically nugu in Korea while having underwhelming chart success in the West.
I thought I was going to see some eye popping numbers when I looked them up, but let's be real, compared to BTS, BP and NewJeans, those numbers are paltry, and when you look at their relevance in Korea, there is a god damn GALAXY size gap between those three and Stray Kids.
Are you sure I am the one crying?
