What I like about kpop is that it keeps thing more ambiguous, for one Korea doesn't use pronouns, very progressive of them. So it's usually not obvious if a song or statement from an idol is referring to a cis or trans man or woman. For example, you can imagine BTS Fake Love being about a gay relationship just as much as a heteronormative one. Kpop also doesn't take itself that seriously. Soyeon's songs contain a lot of self reflections and personal stories yet there's always a vibe of keeping strong. With Rose' the "hurt woman" trope is too obvious, which might be due to western influences.
Newsflash!
She likely grew up listening to Western artists and so they were influences even long before joining Blackpink.
So what if she uses the "hurt woman" vibe in them. IT'S HER MUSIC.
What else would she and every other female solo artist be talking about???
They'll be about relationships.
You act like this is something new.
If you're referring to her Number One Girl song, it was about her reaction to some fans who hated her for joining The Black Label, including other things, and spewed garbage online to her. So, she wrote this song about how hurt she felt at the time and wanted to feel loved and accepted for making the change. And, in this case, it was about her and hater fans' relationship -- according to knowledgeable YouTube comments under her MV.
On another note ~~ KPOP in general was influenced by Western [ or American, specifically ] music since the first generation.

I honestly expected Babymonster to be there as well.
I did not expect Meovv, though, and for them to win something.
Fifty Fifty I could see being there too.
