At the MAMA Awards 2022, they made NewJeans perform on both days and going empty handed, while they created random new awards for other rookie groups half of whom performed worse than NJ that year. The only award NJ got wasn't even theirs. It was an award for their CEO. I suspect Ador regarded this as a huge disrespect to the NewJeans members and their hard work.

It's bullying and was basically Mnet's way of saying 'You're nothing without your CEO'. Mnet probably thought they could get away with that since they've bullied rookies since forever and always got their way since most companies were too scared to do anything against Mnet.

I don't think they actually expected Ador to boycott them like that lol Literally 3 weeks later, NewJeans came back with the SOTY and breaking the record for highest PAKs.

And now we've come to the point where Mnet had no other choice but to give NJ their deserved Daesangs or else they would be the ones looking like clowns and right now Mnet is literally on their knees begging for forgiveness lmao

I always believed that out of all the BP members she had the most potential to grow in her artistry and as a musician. She always seemed the most happiest and involved in the music making process. So i think she will shine even more now that her solo stuff is no longer tied to YG

Personally a musical collaboration is just that, a collab and people make music and go their own ways. No one is doing a background check and due diligence like some in this fandom want should be done. Anyway, low key happy JK is liberated from the expectations of some fans who keep boycotting his works as he remains unaffected and can now easily collab with whoever he so desires, without fearing the fandom.

Yeah don't even remind me. I don't think most kpop fans could handle 70s rock stars. Like these men have done stuff with their underaged groupies, are extremely racist for the most part, have very questionable political views, are often very abusive towards their partners, are often deadbeat fathers, etc the list goes on.

There's also a bunch of modern artists these days who still make music despite having done way worse things than cheating and going for a demonic concept lol

Average. Even though SNSD was the first group that introduced me into Kpop, I don't think i remember any B-sides from them. Their B-sides just weren't very captivating nor interesting to me. Most people only ever talked about their title tracks. Like i mean compared to their peers like 2NE1 and f(x) where people often talked about their B-sides, i feel like that's not the case for SNSD

Kouhaku usually releases a list of performers a month in advance to increase hype and only release the special performers a few days leading up the D-Day as a surprise to get people excited.

So far I think only NewJeans and Yoshiki were announced as a last minute addition. So these two could be the special performers for the night. And correct me if i'm wrong but NewJeans might be the first artist to sing their songs in Koreans at Kouhaku.

Either way New Years Eve tomorrow is going to give NewJeans great exposure in both Japan at Kouhaku Uta Gassen, as well as in the US at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve

Also NHK is doing a prime time documentary with only NewJeans and YOASOBI next week, so tune in if you want to
