i don’t think i even understand the point of the mixx concept. like who gets interested in a group where the hook is that they completely change the vibes when you were just starting to enjoy it.
why not just do like a horror group or a fairy group or a fantasy group why kpop always gotta make it so complicated

I actually thought that song may have suited her vocals the most
she does so good in darker concepts, eta, gods, ditto, get up. i think all suit her tone and her atmosphere. sadly i think the [brief, brief] part was hanni cause it doesn’t really sound like her
i need to do a thread to put some respect on her name/visuals cause even though she’s the number one ranked brand whatever it’s called, she doesn’t get too much hype

back to ive lol if anyone is still reading for them. i really like the vibe of these songs but their biggest problem is that their vocals just cannot fill in the gaps that they need. imagine these songs sung by a top vocal group, aespa, rv, or even just by the best (2/3) singers in the group and i think it would do way better
wow, that was a really boring way to approach this song. i want them to succeed but the music gets harder n harder to defend

What's the "bratty" direction?
i don’t think i have the right vocab but bratty was my favorite Itzy release, I just enjoyed how it focused less on choruses and verses. the vocals were overlapping and chill, the beats were multilayered…
like it kinda reminded me of some red velvet songs.
idk I’m just kinda sick of verse chorus verse formats that focus on let’s hand off the mic style singing

why can’t kpop fans ever like to admit something their group did was influenced by another group? it’s not like they’re artists and artists should be influenced and expand/create something based on cool ideas they like.
if this is is Ive’s version of ditto that’s really cool imo cause i love ditto and this song and i want there to be more artsy kpop videos
all three are soooo good, but hype boy is literally the song that got me into kpop so it will forever have a special place in my heart.
and ngl it seems like it was a turning point for kpop
