I disagree and agree at the same time, but I can name a few groups off the go of my head that followed this technique.. a lot. It’s not always idols faults because the company will most likely decide for them.

Because stans tend to hate the more popular visuals, because they are popular.. I think Mina is extremely beautiful, and so is Karina and Wonyoung. But certain fans bash them and try to erase their popularity, emphasizing the try, because we all know they can’t.

Idk why people are so salty, she’s trying her best to succeed. Whether she’s on the right or wrong is another conversation, because honestly I’m more worried about why people are so quick to dismiss what her and her company are trying to do. I don’t stan 50/50, but once she actually attends the events, I’ll see the shady comments from a mile away..

I’m going to say Le sserafim, and it’s not even because I’m a fan. I think it's known to many that sakura is really popular in Japan and China, which is most likely one of the reasons hybe signed with her. With just their debut album, Billboard Japan reported that they have sold 421,886 copies, which became the best-selling single ever released by a K-pop group in history. With good promotions, these girls could catch up with big local Japanese girl groups, and they’re already on their way to making it there. Their Japanese promo is paying off, and I believe that alone opens opportunities for Le sserafim in Japan.

Well considering they have to promotion, this is pretty good. I really hope people realize that Korea has not abandoned IVE, and actually take time to think before they say stuff that doesn’t add with the rest of the equation. That aside, this is a pretty good feat for IVE.

Scandals like this can literally ruin a group’s reputation, not only did G-idle not uphold the same level of popularity as they do nowadays, but their company was also less known. Scandals like these can ruin reputations of bands with the best sales and records, let alone smaller groups.. unfortunately G-idle was in jeopardy, and cube had to let Soojin go.

Unfortunately for you buddy, the whole point of this survival show is: dance to win. If someone wants to win they have to perform, because well… It’s a dance show? There were some times were I think she could have approached it differently, but then I remember this is a survival show about dancing, so no.
