I agree. Not to mention when you are forty and your knees are hurting you can still hold concerts. I stan Suju so we are getting there, lol.
Donghae had knee surgery this year, Shindong also has hurting knees and Yesung's back is basically done for.
But as the group has good singers, in few years I think fans would attend the concerts even if they didn't dance at all or danced easier choreographies.
-
In the long run singers>dancers me thinks. Concerts are most important for a long time career after the initial hype is over and vocals create the best stage presence in concerts.

tbh for me I don't know idols enough to say that they would or wont cause any controversies and lets be honest 98% of kpop controversies are just idol being a normal human being. So for me everyone is good until they fuck up really bad like seungri
Basically this. Also Kpop fans just have these images of idols in their head and if the image they have of an idol is good, controversies are forgiven, meanwhile if it's someone they don't like, controversy and guilt is assumed even before it actually happens.

I like G-idle. They are cool and definitively stand out even with live performances. Not that it answers the question, but I wanted to say it.

That's ok, but for the first time I do indeed feel a bit bitter towards them. As a fan of another group I have zero interest in BTS, but my Vlive beyond purchases are probably gonna be deleted and I don't know who other to blame.
That was actually my hard earned money right there and the first BTS impact I have truly felt personally.
How do I retrieve my content?

Nobody actually knows what would happen, therefore this thread is just an outlet for haters to say whatever they want and for fans to say their fav would be fine.

Me too, stuff like this is just ridiculous. Sometimes I think I'm way too old for this sh*t. The toxicity of fans in kpop fandoms is way off the charts. I have been a Suju fan for many years now and basically lost faith in all humanity.
In a way though, often I think that Kpop fandoms are marketed similarly to professional sport teams in a way? Remember instances where football fans destroyed stadium facilities and made mess or fought together? In Kpop there are competitions, ranking systems and awards and who does the best gets perks and good comebacks. Count in several fandom identifiers like lightsticks, fandom names, chants etc. and millions of stans who would do everything they can so their teams do the best. In a way it was bound to end up in a bad or good passionate manner from the fans.

At least Super Junior made the Meet & Greet worth it for their fans.
Suju really went to Kamp just to have good time with fans. They said in the past that they are grateful to have concerts even if they end up in financial loss, because it's the only opportunity to meet their fans from abroad. They are really the best. They were very energetic too. Not to mention after the concert people met them enjoying life at Six Flags theme park.
They also welcome multistans.

As a former fan, I don't know how they can be relevant when their music isn't what it used to be. They are all getting on a bit now and their music has declined in my opinion.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes. That's it. I once watched this guy react to SJ on youtube and he kept saying Suju releases are not his thing, but then out of nowhere he said 2ya2yao is quite good. It's their worst release ever in my opinion. This is why one shouldn't care about other opinions. They are irrelevant.
-
I didnt know they were hated?
They receive a lot of hate on twitter. It's like a neverending cycle. The scenario is usually the same. For example a girl group disbands, someone posts that it's Suju's fault just for fun. Someone asks why they are at fault/hated and another one comes and posts a lists of all the stupid stuff they said and did in variety for 17 years without any context whatsoever. Now even on Tiktok.
Thanks to this it seems like they are more problematic than others, because imagine you said you liked for example Mamamoo and someone would bring a list of all the problematic things they have done in their career just because. This is basically how new people get to know them.
Honestly, the fact that most of members are yapping on variety 24/7 is not helping. Also, back then there were more elf to step in and give some context to it.

Its not that I hate them, but I think they're the only Kpop group that doesn't have a single song I like
Even KRY?? Or ballads? Impossible, Suje have like hundreds of songs if you include units..
