I mean you see that I wrote 'a lil bit' there, right? I said just a lil bit bc they can manage to get into the west market with no huge promo there before their Lollapalooza and the earliest among their peers. That's all. The market seems to love them before they expand their wing there. Yes it's easier now especially with tiktok, but not like their peers didn't have the same benefits like them.

I mean 2NE1 has higher digitals than SNSD when their discography is 1/3 of SNSD. And SNSD never has global hits like “I Am The Best”. They only beat 2NE1 in album sales. So technically, YG has the most successful girl group globally in every gen, but they always lose in sales (Blackpink also has less sales than Twice).

There’s a pattern of YG girl groups beating out the biggest girl group at the time. SNSD was the biggest girl group, but 2NE1 debuts and has bigger hits in Korea and internationally. Twice was also the biggest girl group, and Blackpink also beats them. Now Newjeans is the biggest, Babymonster may defeat them.
Where's the pattern when they have only 2 girl group . And what with that 2ne1 with snsd reference, are you new in kpop

Newjeans trajectory is the combination of both bp, twice and little bit of bts. They debut with a hit songs like bp and and their first cb was really successful like Twice. Then their songs become a hit internationally. They do well in Japan and also doing well in the states. And they manage to have multiple songs in bb 100 and top bb 200 in early of their careers.
But anything is possible. If yg finally know how to manage their group properly bm can challenge the top groups position now especially with their big 3 status. If not, hope they learn that Bp is really a rare case in kpop.
And how some of you forget that Ive is here? If you say that the 'new' Twice is not from Jyp, why should the 'new' BP coming from Yg too?

This is the only mnet survival show that I believe might extend their contract longer. Why? Because none of them have huge popularity like the other produce series groups that make their company eagerly want them coming back asap.
But I really hope this is just another baseless rumours. The way w1 managing them right now are so pitiful.

I don't think so. Hybe have lsf and nj that they can shape into a cfs queen without spending a huge amount of money to sign a new contract with bp members. Unless they sign the whole team, I don't think signing them individually will be as powerful as when they're in a group. We all know how fans support for the members once they departed from their group will be weaker.

This sounds too kpopish and old Disney songs vibe (victorious, hannah montana for example) merge together. What exactly make them better to market at the western countries than a normal kpop group other than they sing in english? They sounds and look too much like a kpop group that will attract only already kpop fans too not a new audience.
Have Jyp ever listened to any western gg songs and think this will work? This song really make me think that they just do whatever and don't even do any precedent study to figure out what kind of genre and songs western audiences love.

Jisoo probably saw that coming with Jennie and Lisa saga going on and confirmed her relationship to Dispatch first. And that's also why Rosé is the only want with solo song in their group album, they want to make her satisfied with their treatment and signing her contract? Bc I saw many people said among the members, she care about music the most.

there is nothing wrong with comparing as long as they don't disrespect or bash other groups. but I've seen things from a different side you don't see the hate I've seen they get ton of hate on twitter for a while about their looks or anything they have become the punching bag from 4th/5th gen groups if you want to see vile comments you should see how those hybe gg stans from that survival show are this probably the result of the hate they have been getting you need to see things from both sides. I feel some of you see what you want to see
Yes, that's the point. They are disrespecting everyone. So, that's why people mad with bm stans and started to hate the group. Punching bag is a weird term for group that not yet debuted. Have you seen Nj or Ive? That term are for them. Bm being attacked bc how loud their fans (bp fans) when the group not even out yet. That hybe survival show stans not even huge to bring lots of hate. Go search about them in twitter or tiktok and see how little actually people talk about them or stanning them. That's a huge hate train for you when the one that started the competition things is bm stans?
We see both side, but I see unnecessary hate and toxicity from bm side more. And most of fight start from them. One of the perfect example is how they're in lots of official 4th gen gg social media acc to hate on them and saying bm will end them. I never see any other 4th gen stans did that to other group especially one that not debuted yet.

The fact that three members sued sm after renewing their contract for being underpaid is sad. They are one of the top groups in 3rd gen alongside with Bts, Bp and Twice. Yet, their peers all renewing their contract with better terms and being offers lot of money for doing so but they're still stuck asking for better payment after 11 years of their careers.
Now I wondering what's in their contract. I don't think SM are that nice to agree with all the members demands. I mean the members still filed a lawsuit even after their negotiations.

It makes sense. I'm guessing they'll double what they initially offered BTS when HYBE went public-- which is like around 400k shares in total, and if my guess is right it will become 800k to 1M shares in total. This is not just a contract renewal. Hybe is securing a partnership with BTS. It makes sense because HYBE is BTS (financial and power standpoint).
And just to give a glimpse;
HYBE Revenue (2016-2022)
7 years revenue trend
2016- 35B
2017- 92B
2018- 301B
2019- 587B
2020- 796B
2021- 1,256 trillion
2022- 1,778 trillion
SUM= 4,845 trillion won
BTS' revenue contribution to HYBE in total is 3,706 trillion won (76.5%) out of 4,845 trillion won in 7 years only.
How much is that in us dollar?

Mother...
'I am a kid'
Yeah, that's the answer. Delulu shippers like this mostly are kids so most of them are not really bright and have no common sense. So they treat those idols like they have no freedom at all and still a little kids that need protection just like them.

Hmmm... I might 'accidentally' buying some albums too

has any group ever renewed their second contract with such ease and remain together without a second thought??
They must love each other alot!!
I don't think it's easy or they didn't have a second thought before renewing their contract especially they're the type of all 7 or nothing at all so it's important for the company to meet the needs of each member so they all can renew. Signing a new contract is never an easy decision. They probably already discussing their contract this 1 or 2 years so it can be settled smoothly. In conclusion, their contract must be good and big hit/hybe probably agree with all their requests.
Kudos to big hit too for their cleverness to do such a quick action like this. While we have a company like yg that didn't think that much about the future of their group until the very last minute.

That's such a high amount only in a few hours too
Psstt... perhaps they can buy indigo too???
