GP aint buying physical albums in 2021 this aint 1989 lol. Album sales are the best representation of fandom size and power, if you're buying a 15-20 dollar album instead of listening to songs for free on Spotify or YT, you're a fan, i hate to tell ya.
Although one must always consider bulk buying. 2 million album sales isnt hard to achieve with a giant fanbase when regular fans buy 1-2 and hardcore fans buy 10-100.
If thats the case then whats stopping bts's older from album from hitting million sales.

In 2016 Bts was at the top with wings becoming the first album to sell 1 million copies since the 90s and blood sweat tears amazing digital.
In 2017 bts was at the top with no competition. Billboard awards, US debut, amazing Spring day DNA digital, Love yourself her sold over 2 million and YNWA sold over 1 million. Was Exo ever at top realistically because exo had stiff competition from big bang and bts. Exo never got to rest easy even at their peak.

Because the entire industry is so inflated album sales paint lies.
If this was 2008 BTS most popular album wouldn't sell a million copies. They might hit 900k but that's it. Prime TVXQ (who is only a hair below Prime Bts) best album sold 600k.
This also makes it look like BP is bigger than Prime TVXQ since they have an album over 1 million and TVXQ does not.
