i don't understand... They promoted in their social media, exo got teasers and probably youtube ads, what else could they do?

some members have already enlisted, so no way for them to promote on music shows anyway.

2017 happened. Western validation happened. BTS happened. New bgs were debuted into a new environment and that slowly started in 2018. Pre-2017 groups are a whole different era.

As i said, the gap between NCT and Stray kids debut is like less than 2 years, but they arent in the same gen, meanwhile stray kids are in the same gen as treasure and enhypen that debuted in 2020

The only place where there is a true gap is only in Korean digitals. I know 17 and nct have marginally respectable digitals but I don’t think this is a great barrier and give it a few comebacks eventually 4th gen will get there too.

Bottom line : other than Korean charting and if we consider BTS an out lier all other 3rd gen groups and I’m including exo here will be matched eventually and easily.

Touring will be a great indicator but well we’ll have to wait to see how that goes.

i cant see any 4th gen group surpassing NCT or Svt anytime soon, and you are talking like they are declining but in fact, they are still outdoing themselves each comeback. NCT is growing faster than any 4th gen group.

i cant see any 4th group selling 2M in 2020/2021, and when they did(if they) how much NCT will be selling ? 3M ? 4M or even more...
