I am staying in several fandoms with more or less inactive groups whereas others groups are really active but I have never wanted to join them. Blinks are very loyal fans because in spite of the regular hiatuses, the rare comebacks are worth it for them. We are all here for the same reasons at the end of the day, the groups that we support are a source of enjoyment for us.

I don’t think that it’s remotely true that they have better live singing skills than GG. Girl groups receive more scrutiny and criticism for their skills. When a BG fails to impress, they received criticism for 5 minutes and then everyone one moved on so people forgets about it whereas people bring back GG flaws whenever they can. It’s the same for the lack of stage presence, lazy scandals that are always overexaggerate and always targetting female idols.
Le Sserafim hate train at Coachella would not have been that big if they were a BG.
I thought that we let the « BG are more skilled than GG » narrative during the third generation, don’t bring it back now.
I have always been more of a GG stan but I used to stan BG and this is why I stopped. It was unconscious at first but I realized after Me Too that I was less and less invested into male celebrities and not just male idols.
Some of my female faves had a problematic past but nowhere near the worst male idols’ scandals.

It’s always the same kind of fans who run to say that Twice are flopping : SM stans and Blinks.
You are confusing two things OP : public support and fanbase support. Twice fanbase’s support even now 10 years later is wild especially for a girl group.
They are still a very successful group who broke many records in 10 years and who does not have burn-out fans, they have very loyal fans who are ready to enjoy the ride with them until the end. Onces are lucky fans, they still have regular content and it would be a terrible mistake to stop that during a month just so they could maybe regain an audience that has not been interested in them for years now.
He sings in a lot of his songs and same for Bigbang’s so yeah, he is a singer.
A lot of Kpop rappers are actually both rappers and singers : Yezi, Moonbyul, Jessi, J-Hope, Jennie, CL, Changbin… and probably more bg members that I don’t know.
If they showcase their singing skills in their songs then they are singers too.
He is average at singing and rapping but is a skilled composer and songwriter. He is talented.
