I'm wondering if it's more dependent on what the company wants their approach to be.
Like YG. Big Bang self produces, but 2011-2016, they really didn't put out that many albums, though they did promote a relatively large percentage of the songs off the few albums they did have.
But then you have JYP. Looking at Twice, in a similar 5 year window that's not including their first couple years, they put out 5x the content Big Bang did.
That's true too. How does Twice's output compare to Skz or Got7?
I think the asset of making your own music is that you don't have to wait for your company to come with new songs. You make them yourself. So yes, I think it can result in more releases. But it also depends on the level of success the group meets. If they flop, the company is not necessarily gonna fund every new song the group produces.
Something like that.
True and it also depends on if the group makes the type of songs that the company thinks fits their brand and standards
I was just thinking about how huge Monsta X's disco is. They have A LOT of songs. I think in the last two years, they've come back 5 or 6 eps plus a couple singles. They aren't 100% self produced, but they do write/compose quite a lot of their music.
I'm wondering if it has to do with them creating a lot of their disco themselves.
Do you think there's a correlation? What other groups would be examples of this or disproving this?
I hope everything is well for your mother - that should be your no. 1 priority not how much work you have
besides depending on one's workplace shouldn't your employer make alternative arrangements to ensure that if you were gone for two weeks that whatever it was you were doing was getting done by someone else and not wait two weeks till you came back?
Unfortunately, I'm the only one who does my job. It's okay. I'll catch up. I'm gonna try to sneak in some time here to keep my sanity too

I know these songs are generally pretty different, but lately I've been listening to them a lot and they get stuck in my head pretty easily. Same with &TEAM's Under the Skin & BEO's Brunch. 😅
