Not having lines in 1 or 2 songs is fine when you have multiple albums but in every song .. one would need to take the hint or go get training
I have seen people have less lines or none but it wasn't because of language barrier or other things ( as fans made excuses) It was because they had the weakest vocals. THAT IS THE REALITY most of the time
Every gen has pushed the bar higher and higher. I am excited that vocals in this generation is taken seriously with Treasure and Aespa and more to come.

SM artists set the bar high, say what you want, but VOCAL and talent is there
I do agree that a lot of fans don't care about true vocals. I mean look at what is popular these days and who is that the top. Some may argue the vocalist aren't even main vocal worthy
I have accepted KPOP doesn't care about VOCAL it is about looks aegyo and entertainment. Sorry not sorry.
WHich is why i stan who i stan privately and get on with it. No need to fight about sales, who paved the way or who is better in terms of awards. When in my opinion idols should at least be able to sing, which is why some call kpop idols idols and not artists. I am looking for artists in KPOP

However, in reality this cannot be helped. I say this because groups have solo activities they have individual personalities. Over time like Tayeon and Yoona they expand into other fields that attracts people for their talent and contributions.
KPOP fans need to understand the group is great but praising an individual is also great. Any stanning is great when done in a healthy manner
I just want people to understand there is no such thing as surpassing when it comes to different generations and what was possible during that period.
Yoona an Suzy achieved so much they achieved the BEST of the BEST for what was available then, in light of social media switch.
Now the new girls can also achieve the best in THIS period.
Imagine your time at uni in 2007 being the same as in 2021 it wont make sense. Is your degree in 2007 less important and outdated no it is sill relevant and well deserved.
I think kpop has an ageist problem when they do these comparisons
