Honestly I think psy deserved, he was quite literally snubbed because if it was an American they woulda got it. The internet was shocked in 2013 and their were articles about it too. But in the present BTS 100% deserves it. It’s complete xenophobia if they don’t imo.
If Grammy had been really fair, MOTS7 would have nominated. It is the best selling album of 2020 of the whole world & one & only pop album of 2020 to get Platinum certification in the world.
And Quality, Black Swan singlehandedly can outdo any song of 2020.
But it is Grammy. If MOTS7 was an English Album with same songs with the change of Korean lyrics to English Lyrics, they wouldn't take even a single moment to nominate it.
I don't know, Sometimes I get a feeling of BTS being discriminated like Sir Rabindranath Tagore. When Sir made "Gitanjali" book in his mother toungue, he wasn't awarded Nobel prize but when he just interpreted the book into English, he got.
But my question is why? Why for getting highest Respected Honour, one artist has to interpret his Art into English. That's the actual proof of Xenophobia.

Last fake claim on akp was st like, "X group's album is the most streamed kpop group album of 2020 on Apple Music" with no receipt. And eventually was closed. Isn't it?

One reminder: South Korea's government didn't care about any kpop Artist's enlistment ever in South Korea's whole history except the BTS.
If I am not wrong BTS contributed $5 billion last year & more than 3% in whole GDP of South Korea. At this moment, South Korea needs BTS. BTS has been given the title of "South Korea's national treasure" by the South Korea itself for a reason.
And as an Army, I always have the gut feeling, BTS will go to Service together. The persons who can't even stay for 1 month without being sad with the absence of 1 member, how will they survive 18 months! Didn't click a single group photo without yoongi's cut out.

I might be wrong about this anyways but here goes....
I think BTS kinda wants to release albums as a group, but not solo albums because they want to keep the "7 or nothing". Mixtapes are a good way to still release their own solo songs with their own unique music style, but not necessarily actually being a "solo album" if that make sense.
I think most of the time BTS members themselves have huge focus on their album as a group and mixtapes are what they do as their passion during their free time? I could be wrong about this
